In this role, you are a dedicated member of the Commercial Model Optimization (CMO) Product Team, which focuses on new business models by enabling standard SAP capabilities and designing / optimizing end-to-end processes. The CMO Product Team is a lean, long-lived team, which consists of IT Small Medium Enterprises’ and a business Product Owner, collaborating closely with business end users. SAP standard is typically the starting point, working towards a best practice solution, fitting many use cases, and is easy to scale. The CMO Team is a Business Process Design Team, taking functional ownership and expertise to drive the full implementation of capabilities and processes, supporting new business models. Within the Order Management team, we are looking for a Principal IT Business Systems Analyst, who can play a critical role in shaping the landscape and direction in this area. Part of your role will be determining the most optimal architecture, delivering reusable capabilities and integrations, leading change initiatives, coordinating software development, coordinating the integration activities and the testing efforts.

A Day in the Life

You will be responsible for:

  • Being the SAP SD/MM/CLM expert of the SMO team and linking managing all interactions between systems and capabilities.
  • Analysing existing capabilities, processes, and business models to verify if simplification and/or standardizations is possible.
  • Partnering with business owners on outcomes and potential IT enablers for new commercial business models.
  • Coordinating initiative developments (Requirements Gathering, writing Functional Specifications, supporting developers, coordinate testing, support business during Hypercare), aligning and collaborating with business stakeholders, cocreating the most optimal IT solutions for requirements within the Global Customer Care and Pricing area and drafting and reviewing architecture related items with Core Platform architects.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts on functional designs and leading, coaching, and mentoring Business Analysts on the Customer Care order management and contract management processes enabled by IT solutions.
  • Providing input on estimates for new demand and collaborating with Quality Assurance teams to support activities on Functional testing, Integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Exhibiting self-motivation, enthusiasm, and positive attitude while performing as a team player across the region and global teams.


Must Haves

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience in unlocking business needs (process mapping, requirements gathering, blueprinting)
  • Knowledge in SAP SD, MM, CLM and Pricing
  • Proven communication skills, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving with a proactive, self-starting personality
  • Team player, comfortable to work in an international and culturally diverse team


Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of Digital Commerce
  • Good understanding agile project management methodology
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
  • Supply Chain certifications (e.g. APICS)
  • Previous Medical Device industry experience; previous Medtronic experience ideal
