About the role: Mechanical Engineer

Our focus revolves around the development of innovative products that shield individuals from the detrimental effects of high noise levels across various industries. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and advanced design principles, we are currently seeking a passionate Product/Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in creating new product innovations and renovations.

As Mechanical Engineer you will be a crucial member of our Product & Innovation team and work closely together with Thomas Hartong, Head of R&D . You'll be responsible for maintaining the development of hearing protection solutions. Your role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities, for instance:

• Work on industrial design and engineering challenges for current portfolio. This includes working on renovation and innovation projects.
• Developing 3D and 2D CAD design and related analysis specifically for manufacturing (DFM).
• Support Quality Control on product level.
• Work on prototyping in our own R&D facility.
• Provide clear and concise technical documentation.
• Testing & validating products from technical point of view.
• Be our point of contact for our suppliers and factories.

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering or Industrial Design; Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in injection molding is a plus.
• Proven experience in industrial design and product development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
• Highly structured and deadline-oriented. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A work hard-play hard mentality. A cliché, we know. But it's true at Alpine!
• Dutch & English language is required.
• Expertise in sound attenuation is not mandatory but would be a plus.
• Your commitment to sustainability will play a pivotal role in advancing our product portfolio.
